In the last weeks, CAST Users from all continents took part at the CAST Basic Training Courses in our headquarter in Aachen. The participants were given an overview and understanding of the capabilities and functionalities of CAST. They learned the fundamental modelling and simulation logic of CAST and applying it in simulation studies and allocation tasks by setting up a small airport model and simulating all relevant processes. The general steps required to set up a model were explained. This includes infrastructure modelling, import of a flight schedule, setting of object characteristics, process flow definition, implementation of allocation rules, model verification as well as result generation and analysis.

Next to the Training, we enjoyed seeing the CAST Community growing and connecting. Since the famous Christmas Market in Aachen started a few weeks ago, we spend one evening at this special event and ejoyed the festive atmosphere while drinking typical mulled wine.
