CAST Pedestrian provides realistic models of train stations, stadiums or other public areas or buildings with high person flows. It enables decision support for planning, capacity analysis and optimization of the infrastructure and operational processes.
CAST Pedestrian is used to determine staff and resource requirements, to guarantee the users the desired level of service and to avoid overcrowding by adequate flow management concepts. Using CAST Pedestrian provides decision makers maximum planning reliability at the earliest stage. Additionally, CAST Pedestrian allows to test several what-if scenarions to better understand and manage disrupted operations, which would be too critical to test in real-life.
Areas of application generally include all situations when a high number of persons need to be handled or flow through an area of interest. Simulation is of particular interest, when the person flow is not continuous but all people cumulate around a certain time, e.g. the start of a football match.
A special strength of CAST is the unique combination of realistic process modelling with person flow simulation. This does not only calculate realistic occupancy numbers in the different zones but also supports operational optimization to reduce overcrowding and delays.
The user-friendly interface allows fast and straightforward modelling of complex structures as they appear in public buldings and at big events.
Leading to most reliable results, numerous specific parameters concerning facilities and users can be implemented. Besides the generation of relevant statistical data, the 3D visualization is an essential feature to convince decision makers.
CAST Pedestrian runs on standard PC or Laptop with Microsoft Windows. Flexible license models according to individual requirements.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic nearly all sport events have been canceled. But now it is time to develop concepts how supporters can return to stadiums with respect to the current limitations and regulations. Therefore the capacity of the stadium and it’s sub-processes needs to be reevaluated under the updated conditions. Simulation is the best way to increase the quality and robustness of your safety and hygiene concept and also to convince the public and involved stakeholders.
In a global effort to overcome the COVID crisis, many authorities around the world are currently setting up vaccination centers. ARC has therefore developed a CAST simulation model to represent all processes of such a vaccination center in a realistic 3D environment. By analyzing various scenarios and stress tests, the planned configuration of the vaccination center can be verified and optimized to avoid potential bottlenecks.
To ensure a quick start and immidiate success ARC offers consulting services, training as well as support for the initial set-up of a model.
As an further option the Continuous Modelling Service (CMS) does not only include the set-up of a 3D-CAST model of the airport but also a predefined simulation service on a regular base in order to check defined airport parts or to test next season’s schedule. For ARC and its worldwide clients a close and long term cooperation is one of the most important key factors to ensure the best possible outcomes and ensure the sustainable use of the CAST technology.
Subsequent to the training experienced CAST experts take care of the user support. The ARC helpdesk is there to answer technical questions regarding the use of CAST for specific tasks, technical problems or special features of CAST. Further, individual modelling and project support is available as an option.
Being a CAST User means becoming a member of the CAST User Community. Every year, CAST users from various international airports, airlines and consulting companies come together to network with other experts, share experiences, talk about projects, gain insights into the latest developments and discuss CAST’s vision for the future.
