Cast Airport Simulation Lecture RWTH Aachen 2025
About the Lecture
Last week, Tobias Pötter had the pleasure of giving a guest lecture to the next generation of aviation experts at the Technical University RWTH Aachen.
The presentation is part of the lecture series “Planning and Operation of Airports” at the Institute of Transport Science, represented by Mert Çakır.
What to expect
The session covered the following topics:
– Introduction to Passenger Processes in Airport Terminals
– Airport Capacity Planning
– What is CAST Airport Simulation
– Basic functionalities of CAST Terminal
– Projects and Use Cases
The lecture is an introduction to a series of exercises in which students learn how to use ARC’s CAST airport capacity simulation platform, create a simulation model and carry out their own initial analyses.
It was great to see so many students engaged in the future of aviation. Perhaps our paths will cross again in the future!
